Safety and support
If someone on Marothon is bothering you, you do not have to wait for us. You can block them yourself, and reporting them blocks them automatically. This page explains how that works and how to reach us.

We aim to reply within two business days, and to review reports filed in the app within 24 hours.
Reporting someone
In the app, open the person’s profile, tap the menu, and choose Report.
You will be asked to pick a reason (harassment, hate, sexual content, impersonation, spam, self-harm, or something else), and you can add detail if you want to. The detail helps, but it is optional.
Filing a report blocks that person immediately. That happens the moment you tap it, before anyone at Marothon has looked at anything. You are protected straight away, and nothing about your safety depends on how quickly we respond.
We never tell the person who reported them. Reports are not visible to anyone but us.
What happens next
- The report reaches our moderation queue and the person is already blocked from you.
- We review it, with a target of within 24 hours.
- If it breaks our Community Guidelines, we act: removing the photo, name, or username involved, limiting the account, suspending it, or terminating it, depending on severity and history.
- Anything involving the sexual exploitation of minors or a credible threat of violence results in immediate termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
We do not send you a play-by-play of what we did to someone else’s account, because that is their private information, but if you need to follow up, email support@marothon.com.
Blocking
You can block anyone at any time from their profile, with no reason and no report. Blocking:
- Removes any follow between you, in both directions.
- Stops them seeing your profile.
- Stops them asking to follow you again.
- Is not announced to them.
Blocked accounts are listed under Settings → Rot Together → Blocked accounts, where you can unblock someone if you change your mind. That list stays reachable even if you have turned the social features off.
Controlling who sees you
- Approval required: the default. Your username, display name, and photo are visible to anyone who finds you, but your watch history and counts are not. People have to ask, and you decide.
- Unlisted: you do not appear in search at all. People can still reach you from a direct link, and see the same name and photo, but they still have to ask for the rest.
- Public: anyone using Marothon can see your full profile without asking.
- Off entirely: turn the social features off and nobody new can find you, ask to follow you, or see anything. People who already follow you keep seeing your name and photo, so that they can unfollow you; removing all of your followers, in the same place, is what ends those.
All of these are in the app, under Settings.
Profile photos
Every profile photo is checked automatically before anyone else can see it, and one that fails is never published. If you see a photo that should not have got through, report it. The report goes to the same queue and is treated the same way.
Note that profile photos are served from a public content delivery network so the app can load them quickly, which means anyone holding the direct image URL can open it. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.
If you are in danger
Marothon is a TV tracking app and we are not an emergency service. If you or someone else is at immediate risk, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country.
